ONS140: LINUX SYSTEMS & NETWORK ADMINISTRATION
The Perfect F.I.T.
As with all of SteelPivot classes, this course is built upon the Full Immersion Training (F.I.T.) methodology and is designed to provide extensive hands-on experience in a live environment that the student builds from scratch.
Course Summary
The ONS140 – Linux Administration course is a very intense three (3) day program designed to provide students with the hands-on knowledge and skills required to configure and manage Linux servers in a production environment. The course prepares students to become Linux Systems administrators.
The Linux Administration class is the next step for those having successfully completed the ONS130 Linux Fundamentals class. The class is also designed for IT professionals with previous UNIX/Linux experience and/or non-production personal exposure to UNIX/Linux.
The ONS140 course helps students gain Linux System Administration knowledge from a vendor neutral perspective. As with all of our training courses students also gain valuable real world hands-on experience.
At SteelPivot, we employ an aggressive 100% hands on training style, using instructors who are senior Linux and Network engineers. Our focus is on the “why” and not just the “how.” Our students truly understand how Linux works underneath the hood, and students develop skills that go far beyond the typical “which icon to click” training style.
As a result of our learn by doing approach, the majority of our class time is devoted to configuring and testing increasingly complex real world application scenarios on live networks.
