ONS150: LINUX SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

The Perfect F.I.T.

As with all of SteelPivot classes, this course is built upon the Full Immersion Training (F.I.T.) methodology and is designed to provide extensive hands-on experience in a live environment that the student builds from scratch.

Course Summary

The ONS150 – Linux Engineering course is an advanced level three (3) day class targeted at existing Linux System administrators that desire to develop their Linux Engineering skills. The class focuses on providing the knowledge and hands-on experience required to configure and troubleshoot Linux servers in a complex/enterprise environment.

The Linux Engineering class is the next step for those having successfully completed the ONS140 Linux Administration class.

The ONS150 course helps students gain Linux System Engineering knowledge from a vendor neutral perspective. As with all of our training courses students also gain valuable real world hands-on experience.

At SteelPivot, we employ an aggressive 100% hands  on training style, using instructors who are senior Linux and Network engineers. Our focus is on the “why” and not just the “how.” Our students truly understand how Linux works underneath the hood, and students develop skills that go far beyond the typical “which icon to click” training style.

As a result of our learn by doing approach, the majority of our class time is devoted to configuring and testing increasingly complex real world application scenarios on live networks.
