ONS160: LINUX SECURITY ADMINISTRATION
The Perfect F.I.T.
As with all of SteelPivot classes, this course is built upon the Full Immersion Training (F.I.T.) methodology and is designed to provide extensive hands-on experience in a live environment that the student builds from scratch.
Course Summary
The ONS160 – Linux Security course is an intermediate level three (3) day class targeted at existing Linux System administrators that desire to develop their Linux Security skills.
The class focuses on providing the knowledge and hands-on experience required to ensure the security, reliability and integrity of Linux servers. Students learn to implement a best practice based Linux security profile to harden and monitor their Linux servers.
The ONS160 course helps students gain Linux OS Security knowledge from a vendor neutral perspective. As with all of our training courses students also gain valuable real world hands-on experience.
At SteelPivot, we employ an aggressive 100% hands on training style, using instructors who are senior Linux and Network engineers. Our focus is on the “why” and not just the “how.” Our students truly understand how Linux works underneath the hood, and students develop skills that go far beyond the typical “which icon to click” training style.
As a result of our learn by doing approach, the majority of our class time is devoted to configuring and testing increasingly complex real world application scenarios on live networks.
